Qualio builds cloud-based quality management and compliance software for life sciences companies, including medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech teams. It was founded in Dublin in 2012 and is now headquartered in San Francisco, with a base in Dublin.

Modernizing the cloud behind a compliance platform
Qualio’s customers run regulated quality processes on its platform, such as document control, training records and corrective actions. Their auditors expect those records to be accurate and available, so the infrastructure underneath has to be dependable.
Scott’s team was modernizing that cloud infrastructure while strengthening site reliability and day-to-day operations. He needed two senior DevOps engineers who could own the work end to end, from how the infrastructure is built to how it behaves in production.
Senior engineers who could take ownership
Modernization and reliability pull in different directions. Changing infrastructure adds risk, and reliability work exists to reduce it. The role needed engineers who had done both, and who could make changes to a live platform without putting its uptime at risk.
